Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
In short: this website collects nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no forms and no accounts. The Amy software runs on your own computer or phone and sends nothing to us.
Who is responsible
This site and the Amy software are an individual's personal open-source project, published by edzzztech on GitHub. It is not a company, and nothing here is sold. Questions can be raised as an issue on the project repository.
What this website collects
Nothing. Specifically, this site has:
- no cookies of any kind
- no analytics, tag managers or tracking pixels
- no contact forms, sign-ups, comments or inputs of any sort
- no embedded third-party content — no videos, maps, fonts or widgets
- no advertising and no data sharing or selling, because there is no data
The site is a few static HTML pages plus some images. It loads nothing from any other server.
The one thing stored on your device
If you use the light/dark toggle, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under amy-theme. That is a preference you asked for, it never leaves your browser, nobody can read it, and clearing your site data removes it. It is not used to identify or track you.
Server logs
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web server, GitHub's infrastructure processes your IP address and request details to deliver the page and to protect against abuse. That processing is GitHub's, not ours, and we have no access to those logs. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Links to other sites
This site links to GitHub, Ollama, Hugging Face and Android Studio. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
The Amy software itself
The software is separate from this website. When you install and run it:
- Speech recognition, the language model and your conversation history run on your own machine. We never receive them.
- Transcripts, memory and the action log are written to local files on your device and stay there.
- Photos taken in the phone app's camera view are saved in the app's own folder. Photos and pictures you show it are read by the model on the phone itself, not sent anywhere.
- When you ask the phone app to look something up, or ask about news, prices, scores or the weather, the words being searched for are sent to DuckDuckGo, Wikipedia or wttr.in to get the answer. Nothing else goes with them: not your conversation, your name or anything from the phone. Everything else you say stays on the phone.
- Optional integrations you configure yourself — email, SMS, Spotify, smart home, web search — contact those services directly using credentials you supply. We are not involved and never see them.
- If you pair the phone app with Amy on your computer, commands travel directly between your own two devices over your local network, checked against a pairing code. They do not pass through us or anyone else.
- On Android, the app may use your device's built-in speech recogniser. Depending on your phone and settings, that may process audio on-device or through your device maker's service. That is governed by your phone's own privacy settings.
Because everything is local, there is no account to delete and no data of yours for us to hold, export or erase.
Your rights
Data protection law — including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR — gives you rights over personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request. If you believe otherwise, open an issue on the repository and we will look into it.
Children
This site is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. The history of every edit is public in the repository.
